Sweet, Sweet Simon

Can you believe your eyes?? A mere TWO weeks from my last post. WhatWhat?? Hands up!

AND it contains pictures. You have the 10 pm feeding that I have to stay up for so try and get a full night's sleep to thank(so far it's not working so I'm just extra, extra tired, but I'm hopeful - or maybe stupid). I've got 30 minutes to kill...

So here's the story of how I have the best dogs in the world. Seriously. I can't imagine dogs handling this gigantic life change better. They are sweet and accepting of the baby and only mildly needy. Plus they took the hormone rage in stride during those first few months.

We are fostering a deep, deep love of dogs in Charlotte. I've fairly certain her first words will be Lizzie and Simon because we talk about them so much. Dewayne thought it would be hilarious to set Charlotte on Simon. See the ensuing excitement (keep in mind this is the dog that HATES children, hates their tiny hand and their tiny toes. Hates them coming toward him with their teeny tiny excitement. Hates them...)
Simon thinking "Are you kidding me right now? Is this what I must endure for some attention?" Yes Simon, yes it is.
Neither Charlotte or Simon thinks this is particularly funny. We on the other hand, think it is Hilarious. You can almost see the chastisement in both their faces.
Still funny, still so funny. And darling and precious. I just can't help it.

"HOW MUCH LONGER CAN THIS LAST?? IS IT WORTH IT??" Yes Simon, yes it was.Best friends already? I think so. Pretty soon he'll have bows in his hair and be sitting in at tea parties.

(And yes, Simon was rewarded handsomely for his participation. As was Lizzie for just being in the room)
